frame
Rigid surrounding structure
Frame is originally a verb that communicates form or constructing by fitting parts, but today the noun is more common.
A frame is usually the structural part of a physical thing (frame of a building), but it can also be a surrounding or supporting part: picture frame, window frame.
When someone frames a house, they build the supporting structure, to which other parts will be added.
When someone frames a question, they provide the context in which the question is relevant or should be considered.
If someone is framed, they are made to look guilty of something they did not do.
