railroad
Locomotive's fixed path
A railroad is a system of tracks with steel rails on which trains run, or the company that operates such a system: The railroad runs through three states.
To railroad someone is to pressure them into hasty action without fair consideration: They railroaded the bill through committee.
To railroad a person can also mean to convict them on false charges or through a rigged process.
