posture
How you stand
Posture is how the body is positioned or held.
Good posture keeps the spine aligned; poor posture causes slouching.
Beyond the physical, posture describes an attitude or stance toward something: The company adopted a defensive posture toward regulators.
To posture is to assume an attitude for effect, often insincerely: Politicians posturing for the cameras.
