framing
Building the skeleton
Framing is the act of constructing a frame—the skeletal structure of a house, the border around a picture.
More abstractly, framing is how something gets presented or contextualized: The framing of the question influenced the responses.
In rhetoric and media, framing shapes perception by emphasizing certain aspects over others.
To frame someone is to falsely make them appear guilty: He claimed the evidence was planted and he'd been framed.
