margin
Space for notes
A margin is the blank space at the edge of a page or other surface, separating content from the border.
This sense of edge or boundary extends to other uses: the margin of a lake, or winning by a narrow margin (a small gap between competitors).
In business, margin refers to the difference between cost and selling price—your profit margin.
Financial margin also names funds deposited as security for a transaction, as when buying stocks on margin.
To marginalize someone is to push them to the edges of society or relevance.
