erect
Build from scratch
Erect means upright or standing straight up.
An erect posture is tall and rigid.
A structure that has been erected has been built or raised into position: They erected a monument in the town square.
Erect also describes body parts that have stiffened and risen—most often the penis during arousal, but also nipples or ears: The dog's ears were erect.
