header
Top-of-page text
The noun header designates various things whose name is inspired by the underlying word head: things that are at the top or first.
In a computer file, a header is the first sequential information in the file that contains metadata.
In print, a header is repeating text at the top of a page.
In soccer, a header is an instance of hitting the ball with the head.
