connectors
Parts that link
Connectors are things that join or link other things together.
The term covers physical devices—electrical connectors, pipe connectors, cable connectors—and abstract linking elements like the words *and*, *but*, and *however* that join clauses in writing.
The connectors on this cable don't match the port.
In any domain, a connector bridges separate parts into a functional whole.
