SDK

Code creation package

An SDK is a software development kit—a package of tools, libraries, documentation, and sample code that helps developers build applications for a particular platform, operating system, or service.

Companies provide SDKs to make it easier for outside developers to integrate with their products: Download the iOS SDK to start building apps.

The Facebook SDK handles authentication and sharing. (Lowercase sdk appears in casual usage.)
