wrapper

Packaging outer layer

A wrapper is an outer covering, especially one that encloses something for protection or presentation: candy wrappers, gift wrapper.

In computing, a wrapper is code that encases other code to make it accessible or compatible with a different system.

Someone who wraps things can also be called a wrapper: She worked as a gift wrapper during the holidays.
