viaduct
Arched railway bridge
A viaduct is a long bridge-like structure carrying a road or railroad across a valley, gorge, or other low ground.
Unlike bridges that typically span water, viaducts cross land, often supported by a series of arches or spans: The train rumbled across the old stone viaduct.
The term combines the Latin words for "road" and "lead."
