routers

Traffic-directing network devices

Routers are devices that direct data traffic between computer networks.

A home router connects your devices to the internet, managing which data goes where.

In networking, routers make decisions about the best path for data packets to travel.

Separately, a router is a power tool that hollows out or shapes wood and other materials: He used a router to cut decorative edges on the cabinet doors.
