cannon
Wheeled battlefield gun
A cannon is a large mounted gun that fires heavy projectiles—historically the principal artillery weapon in warfare and naval combat.
The word extends to any similar tube-based launcher: a water cannon, a snow cannon at ski resorts.
In billiards, a cannon (British) is a shot where the cue ball strikes two other balls in succession.
To cannon into something is to collide with force: He came around the corner and cannoned into me.
