porthole
Cabin's circular window
A porthole is a small, usually circular window in the side of a ship or aircraft.
Ship portholes are typically fitted with thick glass and a hinged metal cover that can be sealed against water.
The shape distinguishes them from ordinary rectangular windows: light streaming through the porthole, She watched the waves through her cabin's porthole.
