antique
Prized old object
Antique describes something old and often valuable, typically from an earlier era: antique furniture, an antique vase.
As a noun, an antique is such an object, usually at least a hundred years old and prized by collectors.
The word can also suggest something charmingly outdated: Her views on marriage are positively antique.
To antique is to give something an aged appearance, or to shop for antiques.
