cannoning

Colliding then rebounding

Cannoning is colliding and rebounding, like a billiard ball striking another: The child came cannoning into me as I rounded the corner.

In billiards specifically, cannoning refers to making a cannon shot—striking the cue ball so it hits two other balls in succession.

The term is more common in British than American English.
