geolocation
Finding device coordinates
Geolocation is the process of determining where something is in the world, typically using GPS, cell towers, or IP addresses.
Your phone uses geolocation to show your position on a map or find nearby restaurants.
The term also refers to the coordinates themselves: The app stores the geolocation of each photo you take.
