augmented-reality
Screen-enhanced perception
Augmented reality overlays digital information—images, text, sounds—onto the physical world in real time.
Unlike virtual reality, which replaces your surroundings entirely, augmented reality enhances what you already see: The app uses augmented reality to show how furniture would look in your room.
Often abbreviated AR.
