raster
Line-by-line image
A raster is a grid of pixels forming a digital image, where each pixel holds color or brightness data.
Raster graphics (photographs, web images) contrast with vector graphics, which use mathematical formulas for shapes.
The term comes from the scanning pattern of old cathode-ray tubes, which drew images line by line.
The logo looked blurry because it was a raster file, not a vector.
