Unlocated describes something whose position or whereabouts have not been determined or established.
It applies to physical objects that haven't been found the unlocated wreckage of the plane, places that haven't been pinpointed on a map, or abstract things like sources or origins that remain unknown.
In land surveying and property records, unlocated may describe parcels or boundaries that have not yet been formally identified or marked.
