OpenStreetMap

Collaborative world atlas

OpenStreetMap is a collaborative project to create a free, editable map of the world.

Often abbreviated OSM, it functions as a geographic database built by volunteers who contribute road data, building footprints, trails, and other features.

Unlike proprietary mapping services, OpenStreetMap data can be freely used, shared, and modified: The app uses OpenStreetMap for offline navigation.
