permissions

Granted access levels

Permissions are authorizations to do something—access a place, use a resource, or take an action that would otherwise be restricted.

In computing, permissions control what users can do with files and systems: read permissions, write permissions, You don't have permission to access this folder.

The singular permission is the broader concept; the plural permissions typically refers to specific rights that can be granted or revoked.
