circumpolar
Never setting constellations
Circumpolar describes something situated around or near a celestial pole.
In astronomy, circumpolar stars never set below the horizon at a given latitude—they appear to circle the pole throughout the night: Polaris is circumpolar for observers in the Northern Hemisphere.
In geography, circumpolar refers to regions surrounding the Earth's poles: circumpolar currents, circumpolar wildlife.
