Draco

Northern sky dragon

Draco was an Athenian lawmaker of the 7th century BCE whose legal code prescribed death for most offenses, giving rise to the word draconian.

The name also belongs to the wealthy antagonist in the Harry Potter series, Draco Malfoy, whose family embodies pure-blood wizarding prejudice.

Draco's laws were considered harsh even by ancient standards. (Lowercase draco refers to the constellation.)
