precession
Spinning axis shift
Precession is a slow wobble in the axis of a spinning object, like a top that traces circles as it slows.
In astronomy, the precession of the equinoxes describes Earth's axial wobble over a 26,000-year cycle, gradually shifting which stars appear in the night sky.
The term applies more broadly to any rotational axis that itself rotates around another axis.
