mukluk

Soft fur boot

A mukluk is a soft boot traditionally made by Arctic peoples, typically of sealskin or reindeer hide with fur lining.

The design keeps feet warm in extreme cold while allowing flexibility for walking on snow and ice.

Modern versions use synthetic materials but retain the distinctive soft sole and high ankle: My mukluks are warmer than any winter boot I've owned.
