fibroids
Benign womb lumps
Fibroids are noncancerous growths that develop in or on the uterus, affecting a significant number of women during their reproductive years.
They vary widely in size—from barely detectable to large enough to distort the shape of the uterus—and may cause heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, or pressure on the bladder.
Many women have fibroids without symptoms and never require treatment.
The doctor discovered several small fibroids during her ultrasound.
