nevi
Pigmented skin marks
Nevi is the plural of nevus, the medical term for a mole—a pigmented spot on the skin.
Dermatologists use the term when discussing multiple moles: The patient presented with several atypical nevi requiring monitoring.
Most nevi are benign, but changes in size, shape, or color warrant examination.
