colposcopy
Magnified cervical exam
Colposcopy is a medical procedure in which a magnifying instrument called a colposcope is used to examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva for signs of disease.
It's typically performed after an abnormal Pap smear to look for precancerous cells or other abnormalities: The doctor recommended a colposcopy to investigate the irregular test results.
