Leg's back muscle
A calf is a young cow or bull, or the young of certain other large mammals: elephant calves, whale calves.
The word also names the fleshy back portion of the leg between the knee and ankle.
The plural for both senses is calves.
Calfskin is soft leather made from young cattle hides.
