Sheets in books

Pages are the individual leaves of a book, magazine, or document, or one side of such a leaf.

Page numbers help locate information: Turn to page 47.

The word extends to screens of digital content: a web page, a landing page.

A page is also a young attendant, especially one employed to run errands in a hotel or legislative body.

To page someone is to summon them, originally by calling their name aloud, now typically through an electronic device: The doctor was paged to the emergency room.

To page through something is to flip through its pages.
