masthead

Publication's editorial credits

A masthead is the top of a ship's mast, or the listing of ownership and editorial staff that appears in a newspaper or magazine, typically on the editorial page or near the front.

By extension, masthead refers to the banner displaying a publication's name: The newspaper redesigned its masthead last year.

In digital media, it often means a prominent display ad at the top of a webpage.
