Footer has two main senses.
In documents and web pages, a footer is the section at the bottom containing recurring information—page numbers, dates, copyright notices: The footer includes contact information on every page.
In British informal use, a footer is a person or thing of a specified height: a six-footer.
Footer is also British slang for football (soccer).
