Court errand boy
A page is one side of a leaf in a book, magazine, or document—or the leaf itself.
By extension, page refers to a section of a website: the home page, landing page.
To page through something is to turn pages, often casually: She paged through the magazine while waiting.
A page is also an attendant, originally a youth training for knighthood, now typically someone who runs errands in a legislative body or hotel.
To page someone is to summon them, especially over a loudspeaker or electronic device: The doctor was paged to the emergency room.
