cerebral hemisphere
Half a brain
A cerebral hemisphere is one of the two symmetrical halves of the cerebrum, the largest part of the brain.
The left and right hemispheres are connected by a bundle of nerve fibers and control opposite sides of the body.
Each hemisphere has somewhat different functions—the left typically handles language and logic, the right spatial reasoning and creativity—though this division is often oversimplified in popular accounts.
