hemiplegia
One-sided body paralysis
Hemiplegia is paralysis affecting one side of the body—the left or right half.
It typically results from stroke, brain injury, or neurological disease affecting motor pathways.
The condition differs from hemiparesis, which is weakness rather than complete paralysis: The stroke left him with hemiplegia on his right side.
