cerebellum
Motor coordination region
The cerebellum is the part of the brain at the back of the skull, below the cerebrum.
It coordinates voluntary movements, balance, and posture—the mechanics of motion rather than its planning.
Damage to the cerebellum produces tremors and unsteady gait.
The scan showed a lesion on her cerebellum.
