left hemisphere
Analytical brain side
The left hemisphere is the left half of the brain, separated from the right hemisphere by a deep fissure.
In most people, it controls language, logic, and analytical thinking, and governs movement on the right side of the body.
Popular psychology oversimplifies this into "left-brained" versus "right-brained" personality types, though actual brain function is far more integrated.
