temporal lobe
Brain's auditory processor
The temporal lobe is one of four major divisions of each cerebral hemisphere, located at the side of the brain near the temples.
It processes auditory information, plays a central role in memory formation, and helps with language comprehension and emotional responses.
Damage to the temporal lobe can affect hearing, speech recognition, and the ability to form new memories.
