looping

Going around again

Looping describes something that moves in loops—circular or curved paths that return to their starting point.

A looping roller coaster curves back on itself.

In computing and music, looping means repeating continuously: a program runs in a loop, a sound sample plays on repeat.

Someone who is looping may be stuck in repetitive thought or behavior: I keep looping on what I should have said.
