streaming
Watching shows online
Streaming is continuous transmission of audio or video data over the internet, played as it arrives rather than downloaded first: We were streaming the game on my phone.
The term extends to the platforms that deliver such content: What streaming services do you subscribe to?
More broadly, streaming describes anything flowing steadily in a current: Sunlight came streaming through the windows, tears streaming down her face.
