iterator

Element-by-element accessor

An iterator is a programming object that lets you step through a collection of items one at a time, like moving through a list element by element.

Rather than accessing everything at once, an iterator tracks position and returns the next item when asked: The iterator moved through the array until it reached the end.

Iterators enable efficient processing of large datasets without loading them entirely into memory.
