stitching
Sewn thread lines
Stitching is the work of making stitches—the loops of thread that hold fabric or other materials together.
It refers both to the process and its result: The stitching on this jacket is coming loose.
Visible stitching may be decorative; invisible stitching hides the seams.
In bookbinding, stitching holds pages together.
The word extends to any row of punctures resembling sewn thread.
