autoplay

Starts without clicking

Autoplay is a feature that automatically starts playing media—video, audio, or the next episode in a series—without requiring the user to click play.

I disabled autoplay because videos kept blasting in my headphones.

Websites and apps use autoplay to keep users engaged, though many find it intrusive.

The term also functions as a verb: The next episode autoplayed before I could stop it.
