crossfader
Mix console control
A crossfader is a sliding control on a DJ mixer that blends between two audio sources.
Moving it left plays one turntable or channel; moving it right plays the other; the middle plays both.
DJs use crossfaders for smooth transitions between tracks or rapid back-and-forth cuts in scratching: He worked the crossfader during his set.
