Square, thin, flexible
A diskette is a thin, flexible magnetic disk enclosed in a plastic case, used for storing computer data.
Also called a floppy disk.
Diskettes were standard portable storage from the 1970s through the 1990s before being displaced by CDs, USB drives, and cloud storage.
I found a box of old diskettes in the attic.
