obsolete
Fallen out of use
Something that is obsolete is no longer useful or needed, usually because something newer and better has replaced it: The company is finally getting around to upgrading its obsolete computer system.
Abstractions can also be characterized as obsolete: Methods of medical treatment now regarded as obsolete were once viewed as cutting-edge.
If a concept is obsolete, the foundation on which it rests has been disproved by new evidence or discovery.
