Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary who became the country's first Black president (1994–1999).
Imprisoned for 27 years for opposing white minority rule, he emerged to negotiate a peaceful transition to democracy and became a global symbol of resistance and reconciliation.
He's the Mandela of our movement invokes his moral authority.
The Mandela effect—false collective memories—comes from people misremembering him dying in prison.
