vertex
Where edges meet
A vertex is a point where lines or edges meet—the corner of a triangle, the apex of a pyramid, the junction in a graph.
In geometry, polygons and polyhedra are defined by their vertices.
The word extends to any highest point or turning point: the vertex of a parabola, the vertex of an angle.
Plural: vertices or vertexes.
