nadir
Absolute lowest point
Nadir is the lowest point of something, whether literal or figurative.
In astronomy, it refers to the point on the celestial sphere directly beneath an observer—the opposite of zenith.
More commonly, nadir describes rock bottom in a progression or trajectory: The team's season reached its nadir with a ten-game losing streak.
Her career hit its nadir before the unexpected comeback.
The word implies that things can only improve from here.
